You can watch and influence the future of VB and C#
|
Charlie Calvert, Community Program Manager for C#, has created a CodeGallery project called Visual Studio Language Futures for C# and Visual Basic. The project is designed to be a central place to find articles, links to blog posts and other info related to what the teams are thinking about. And you can discuss them in the discussion forum. This is in concert with Charlie's blog post series (he does a lot of awesome blog post series) on language futures. The first post in the series, about Dynamic Lookup for C#, generated so much feedback that he says (in a later post) Your suggestions on Dynamic Lookup influenced not only the C# language, but also Microsoft's plans for how we share information on future releases with the community. The CodeGallery project is the product of the second part of that sentence. There is a second item on there now, a feature targeted for C# and VB called Call Hierarchy. You can subscribe to an RSS feed for this (or any CodeGallery) project and be notified of additions (or changes). The welcome text clearly specifies what to expect and NOT to expect from the project. While there is already so much information in blogs, it is great to have a consolidated location for a topic like this. |
