Spring Conference Season begins!

I've had a nice winter at home, but I'm about to embark on a bit of travel, as are many of the folks who speak at conferences.

Next week, I'll be presenting in Stockholm Sweden (and I'm not complaining about that!) at the Developer Summit 08, which is put on by a local consulting firm, Cornerstone. I'll be doing two sessions and a full day workshop. The sessions are "Silverlight 2.0 Annotation" and Advanced Entity Framework. The workshop is "Entity Framework 0-60". I'm fortunate to be able to go to this conference and the speaker line up is impressive - beginning with David Chappell!

I'm skipping the MVP summit which begins just after I arrive back home.

Then the next week after that is DevConnections in Orlando where I'll be doing the Entity Framework 0-60 workshop again (not too late to sign up!!) on April 20th and giving an Advanced Entity Framework and Astoria talk during the conference proper. There's a whole data track again so we're all very excited about that.

A few weeks after that, I head to Toronto for DevTeach where I'll be doing 3 sessions. The Advanced E.F. talk again, a session on Data Access Guidance in .NET 3.5 as well as an Astoria intro session.

Then I stay home for the month of May (phew) and write write write since I also have to produce my book, Programming Entity Framework concurrently with all of this travelling.

In June, I'll be at TechEd Developer in Orlando. (Orlando in June vs. Vermont in June?) I finally figure out how to snag free airfare, hotel and a conference pass. The trick is to do sessions. Of course, time wise it may have been cheaper to just pay cash. :-) The sessions there are again, Advanced Entity Framework (pared down from the other conferences, but it should be really good after doing it 3 times already!) and Data Access Guidance in .NET 3.5. (Check this out ... "featured speaker"... cool!)

I'm also hoping to moderate two Birds of Feather sessions: "Going Solo" and "Is Entity Framework right for your application?" There are more submissions than there are slots, so if you are interested in these, go vote for them.

And then a summer of R&R. Oh wait, no that would be a summer of finishing up my book but I''m staying in beautiful Vermont for the summer and resting up for the fall when it starts all over again!
