What to expect from Microsoft in 2008

Steven Bink has a frighteningly long list of products and services that Microsoft is planning to (or one can make a good guess that they are planning to) release or update in 2008. "What to Expect from Microsoft in 2008" is the latest in what seems to be an annual list - a list that you probably won't find in Time or People with all of their year end lists.

Among these is a variety of Windows Server 2008 editions, updates for Windows Mobile, sneak peaks at the NEXT version of Windows (egad!), SQL/BizTalk/ISA server 2008, updates for Commerce Server, a possible Office Beta, IE8, some more Windows Live services and on and on.

Mostly everything I see on the list is already somehow in the public view. What's maybe missing from this list is things we have absolutely no clue that Microsoft is working on - or things in Microsoft Research that might actually start making their way into our hands.

Who's to know?

Either way, it's an interesting list to check out!
