MSDN Magazine Article - Drawing in Silverlight 2.0

The August 2008 issue of MSDN Magazine features a bunch of Silverlight articles as well as an article on ADO.NET Data Services, a great data source for Silverlight apps.

Among these articles is one on using Silverlight's InkPresenter to draw in Silverlight, written by yours truly.

Write On! Create Web Apps You Can Draw On with Silverlight 2

The article teaches the basics of using the InkPresenter and then shows how to use web services to take advantage of handwriting recognition, which is in WPF, but not in Silverlight, as well as using services to store and retrieve annotations into a database.

It was a lot of fun to write as it combines a bunch of new features of .NET - Silverlight 2.0, LINQ to XML, LINQ to SQL, and WCF Services.

I also have a live version of the application running here.
